Christopher Ferguson

Christopher Ferguson is a recently retired astronaut from Boeing who currently consults in aerospace safety, serves on nonprofit boards, holds a university trustee position, and is an ASTM officer. He contributed significantly to the development of the Boeing Starliner, where he was heavily involved in the flight crew interface, and flight and crew operations. He acted as a primary liaison between Boeing and NASA. Before this, Chris was a NASA astronaut, flying on three Space Shuttle missions, two of which he commanded, including the final Shuttle mission (STS-135) in 2011.

He built a family franchise in consumer product distribution, generating over $20M in sales across six countries.

A certified space nerd, Abhishek has been involved with the International Space Settlement Design Competition since 2001—initially as a participant and winner, and later as a volunteer, core member of the Foundation Society, and judge. He has directed the Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition for over 15 years, a competition that has been pivotal in shaping his career and continues to inspire his innovations.

If you’re a ham radio operator, you might catch him on FT8, often found lurking on 20 meters. In addition to his technical leadership, Mr. Gafford is passionate about sharing his knowledge. He serves as a backup instructor for our camps and provides customer training for all our products. He loves teaching students and witnessing their excitement as they explore science and engineering topics.

Julia Clark

Assistant Director, Instructor

Julia Clark serves as the Assistant Director and Lead Instructor at Space Trek.
